Any one else having a problem with Google Earth images of Samui? I have tried this on two separate Windows computers and different internet providers - using the time slider the latest images (12/2016) are out of focus,(5/2016) massive cloud cover, and all previous dates out of focus. Have upgraded to the latest version of Pro but still the same.

I cannot speak for Google Earth, but the Google Maps imaging c2017 is perfect and clear.

This is purely a Google Earth and Google Earth Pro problem, not Google Maps, but thank you for you input.

Understood, but don't they use the same source imaging?

I am not using Google Earth often.

But just invoked it and zoomed to Samui (complete island): no clouds.

Zooming in some areas, seeing single houses and even structures on the roofs.

See a "35" on the runway of the airport.

Big Bhudda with a stage leading up, roofs around with structures.

I guess so, but have no proof.

The few satellite views of Samui I checked look identical.

Big Buddha is a good benchmark.

When using Google Earth from here in Bangkok I see the same image clarity as in KhunBENQ's image above.  Working fine.

Edit: Further playing with the Historical Imagery setting/icon does result in blurred pictures.  If that setting is turned on/showing, turn it off and see what happens.  When I turn it off the blur goes away.
