Dangerous HIV-infected Czech national arrested in Phuket

 

 

BANGKOK: -- A 52-year old Czech, identified as Zdenek Pfeifer, wanted for criminal transmission of HIV in Thailand, was apprehended in Phuket last night.

 

Cherng Talae station police in Phuket said Zdenek Pfeifer was arrested at 8.30pm by a joint police force of Phuket and Cherng Talae police.

 

Details of the arrest of the criminal was not immediately known but he was now under detention at Cherng Talae police station pending immediate deportation by authorities.

 

Earlier yesterday police have launched a nation-wide manhunt for the dangerous man who has allegedly slept with several young men and women despite the fact that he has AIDS.

 

An urgent order was sent to the northern-based 5th provincial police bureau by the Royal Thai Police Office for the police there to arrest the 52-year old Czech, against whom an arrest warrant was issued by the Interpol.

 

Earlier Pol Maj-Gen Pongdet Prommeechit, deputy commissioner of 5th provincial police bureau, described the Czech as a dangerous man and instructed police, especially in eight northern police, to arrest him on sight because of his sexual behavior of spreading AIDS to men and women.

If you're basing your comment on something appearing on Thai Visa, I suggest you skim through all the  petty, negative things, as well as the more serious things, posted about Thais (most of it from Thai news sources)  ... which wouldn't even merit a mention if some farang did the same thing back in Farang-utopia.

PHUKET: -- Thalang Police Chief Col Sompong Thiparpakul confirmed to The Phuket News this morning that Czech fugitive Zdenek Pfeifer, 52, was arrested last night in Phuket’s popular west coast beachfront neighbourhood of Bang Tao.

 

Pfeifer was wanted under a red notice by Interpol. He was wanted in the Czech Republic for sexual offences with minors, including intentional passing his HIV infection.

 

Police in Thailand believe Pfeifer may have infected up to 10 people in the Kingdom.

 

The alarm was raised when Pfeifer was spotted at the Tesco Thalang shopping mall yesterday evening (Jan 17) and a police officer on duty there was notified.

 

The officer responded and questioned Pfeifer, who denied he was the man police were looking for.

he was the subject of a INTERNATIONAL arrest warrant so the there is the reason for the overstay, if he went to renew he be caught (hopefully)

I wish you would read and understand articles properly.  He was arrested for these crimes on an International Arrest.....That means he committed these crimes elsewhere.  Not in Thailand.  At the moment all the Thai authorities have against him is Overstay.  The only thing they can do is to send him back to wherever they are supposed to.

 

There is no mention of women, so why would you assume that he is 'bi'?

thats not true there is an international warrant out for him which thailand is signed up for so they must extradite him
