I currently have a retirement extension and multiple re entry permit in my passport, late last year I took a overseas visitor to Tachielek using the Maesai border pass which resulted in my reporting schedule being reset

Yesterday when carrying out the 90 reporting at Fang the immigration person advised that as I had left the country I should have had my residential address re notified despite the fact that I have been at the same address for more than five years and have my own house book ( not blue)

They are vey helpful at this office, completed the form which my wife signed and stapled the receipt in the passport

The immigration person advised that this is necessary each time you leave the country as the departure card has its own bar code and serial number

I am interested as to whether this is a requirement elsewhere or just a local practice

Its not particularly onerous as it only takes a few minutes and as stated above the staff are very helpful and friendly
