Court hearing starts today as witnesses plan to testify man was driver in fatal hitandrun accident

NAKHON PHANOM: -- THE JUSTICE Ministry was confident that forensic evidence and witnesses who will testify at a Nakhon Phanom Court hearing starting today and continuing until Friday would prove that a former teacher jailed for a fatal hit-and-run accident was innocent, a top official said yesterday.

The ministry’s deputy permanent secretary, Pol Colonel Dusadee Arayawuth, said the 10 witnesses include a Department of Special Investigation (DSI) officer who would testify first, followed by 54-year-old Jomsap Saenmuangkhot – the former teacher.

The other witnesses will include experts from the Land Transport Department, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi and Toyota Motor Co Ltd, Dusadee said, adding that new evidence would also be introduced.

I hope she is cleared.... At the moment, it looks like a setup from the start, from the police end.....Best of luck Khun Jomsap...

Yes they really tried to do a number on her till Toyota examined the truck and stated no repairs had been made ergo her truck did not hit he guy.

Cant believe the RTP would fabricate evidence, stuff up an investigation and frame a scapegoat. These upstanding examples of judicial competency, beyond reproach and working only to protect, truth, justice and the Thai people.

And to protect their backsides, the threat of defamation. How dare this innocent women put her life above the attempt to save the faces of these outstanding officers.

Uh Oh...the BIB are not going to like this.

The world turned upside down...they are not being allowed to fit people up any more.

She is quite the fighter. Thailand needs more like her to stand up for their rights. Its amazing how the RTP did a 360 once Toyota proved them wrong the jig was up.

They will just consider themselves unlucky this time and in a few weeks will be up to the same old tricks/standards of crime investigation.

Could get interesting. The MoJ say they are confident of her innocence supported by witnesses, and impartial experts. Some senior BiB officers have said she was guilty and that this attempt to prove her innocence is an orchestrated conspiracy.

Bit of a struggle going on here.

The RTP will merely be asked to up their level of competence rather than to reduce their level of incompetence.........as it sounds so much better as it suggests there was a certain level of competence there in the first place..

I always thought the RTP were infallible. Does this mean the police may have made errors on the Burmese two down on Khoa Tao? May they have even been complicit in helping the real killers escape justice?

I know, I know. DNA. But maybe, just maybe - it was all a set up. Could the naysayers admit that might be a real possibility?
