Most doubt reports of bids to kill PM, Prawit: survey

By The Sunday Nation

Most people are not convinced there have been attempts to try to assassinate Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha or his deputy Prawit Wongsuwan, a survey has found.

Almost 77 per cent of people surveyed by Suan Dusit Poll said they did not believe the reported threats, as they did not know the entire facts regarding the matter. They said that the reports could be an attempt to spread rumours for political purposes.

The remaining 23 per cent said they believed it was true, as it was not unusual for government leaders to get death threats from people adversely affected by their policies.

Thailand seeks extradition of Thai nationals from Laos on lese majeste charges

The individuals that are being sought by the government were associated with the United Front for Democracy Against Dictatorship, or as they are more commonly known, the Red Shirt movement. It looks credible to me that death threats were made. These are just the past months news reports. Thai authorities have been trying to bring these suspects back to Thailand for over 2 years, since they fled after the coup.
