non B to non O - how to?

I've got a friend who has recently finished up a job. Work permit and extension of stay off the back of a non-B originally.

 

Her husband, also a foreigner, works here and she'd like to change her status so she now extends her stay of the back of this status.

 

How is this done? Does one need to leave the country and get a new visa, or can it all be accomplished at Chaeng Wattana?

A non immigrant visa category cannot be changed.

She could change the reason for the extension from working to being her husbands dependent. She would need a termination letter from her employer to cancel her current extension so that she could apply for the new one. She would need her marriage certificate and copies of her husbands passport to show his extension. Documents from his employer to prove he is still may also be needed.
