March 1, 20179 yr Revenue Department piloting E-Tax Invoice system BANGKOK, 1 March 2017 (NNT) – The Revenue Department (RD) has joined with the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society and other related agencies to issue a new type of tax invoice aimed at reducing costs for business operators. An agreement has been signed between RD, the Digital Ministry, the Electronic Transactions Development Agency and the E-Government Agency to develop an “E-Tax Invoice by Email” system that will seek to have business operators utilize an electronic tax invoicing system to reduce their costs and in keeping with the Thailand 4.0 agenda. To pilot the project, businesses with revenue of less than 30 million baht a year will be tapped for participation in the electronic system. It is targeted that E-Tax Invoices will go into widespread use by 2022. Eligible businesses can apply the system at www.rd.go.th. -- nnt 2017-03-01
March 1, 20179 yr 2022 - Whilst most the world has been using emails to send invoices for years. Lets hope this can also get rid of the need for cheques / couriers too !
