Hunt on as armed robber takes just 30 seconds to plunder Laem Chabang bank

CHONBURI: -- Police are hunting for a lone robber who targeted the Kasikorn Bank branch in iPlace on Sukhumvit Road in Laem Chabang.

 

He burst into the bank after arriving on a motorcycle and brandishing a gun at the counter just before closing time he said: "Stay still if you don't want to get hurt"  Thairath reported.

 

It took just thirty seconds for him to complete the robbery and make good his escape, said investigating police. He managed to get away with 200,000 baht.

 

He was wearing a full face helmet.

 

Police said that all CCTV cameras were working and they have good images of the suspect from many angles in many locations.

Because bank robberies in Thailand are far and few in between, thai banks

don't really care much about proper security measures to prevent such acts

from being carried out, same with the ATM machines, they can make them

more secured and harder to steal from but for some inexplicable reasons,

they just take the losses and continue to allow their machines to be plundered....

I pity anybody in the area with a similar bike to that one.

The BIB will want a quick collar, so anybody resembling him with a similar bike is ripe for lifting.

I seem to remember a bank robbery several years ago, on one of the Channel Islands. They had overlooked the fact that they were on a small island, with the last ferry long gone. Nowhere much to hide.

The secret for these characters is to smother people in stupidity. I covered this in my comments on Kelly Anne Conway and Milo Y on the Bill Maher show. Its a spreading disease. BS is now trying to baffle brains and sometimes I think it is winning.
