BANGKOK: -- A fire broke out at the third floor room of Fortune Town commercial complex on Ratchadapisek road during the morning rush hour Monday, causing heavy traffic jams in the vicinity.

By 9 am after almost an hour of blazing, a dozen of fire trucks could contain the fire at limited area while firemen were breaking glass windows on the third floor to release thick smokes out of the building.

As the fire happened close to the Rama 9 subway station, the Metropolitan Rapid Transit of Thailand (MRT) ordered the closing of its Exit 1 of the station for safety reason and to facilitate firemen to work.

Good to read that nobody was trapped or injured. I hope that the damage and smoke was contained and that the IT Center at the other end of the complex is unaffected. I truly hate everything about Pantip.

Any fire on a Sunday at a time there are no workers or customers around raises the suspicion of an insurance job. Sometimes it is all agreed up front with the people who would be assessing the claim. Just a possibility, been done before.

Great thesis, but possibly your calendar work needs a little honing. Maybe an especially rough weekend blurred the days.

The latter.

Although in an attempt to bluff my way out of it, I could claim that for shopping mall traders the workday never starts before 12pm.
