Former policeman and wife killed in four vehicle pile up

PHUKET:-- A former police lieutenant and his wife were killed, while three others were injured in a four-car crash in Phuket's neighboring Phang Nga province this afternoon.

Capt Chalermsak Aksornpian of Thai Mueang Police arrived at the scene on Petchkasem Road with rescue workers.

“We arrived to find the road littered with metal and plastic car pieces, glass and blood. At least two of the cars were completely totalled,” said Capt Chalermsak.

Tragedy ... RIP everyone who died. I've had a couple of car crashes but was fortunate to come out of them unscathed. I drive very carefully now and always watch other drivers closely ... you can reduce risk but never eliminate it.

Today I bought one pack of each patty type from Makro and also picked up a bag of Bega Tasty grated cheddar cheese. It was 250 g for 139 Baht. Good value. Then I cooked one of the grass fed burgers and after the 2.5 minute flip I sprinkled a handful of the grated cheese on top with a dash of salt. After about 5 minutes it was nicely browned on both sides, though the middle was still a little undercooked for my taste. I did not want to put it back in the pan and risk burning the outside, so I put the plate in the microwave for about 30 seconds on medium heat. That finished it perfectly. It turned out to be a fantastic burger. I am really glad I did not go the McDonalds route. It was quick and easy to prepare as well. I skipped the bun and just ate it with a fork. Delicious! After finishing the burger there was still about a large tablespoon of juice or fat on the plate, so it definitely was not dry. I will probably try one of the wagyu ones a bit later, but the grass fed one was already just right for me. Next time I will probably cook it on a slightly lower heat and give it another 45 seconds on each side so the middle cooks a bit more without burning the outside. Thanks again for the tip!

I picked up something whilst in Pattaya a few weeks ago and still have it. Very nasty (and not a Wife, Kik or Mia Noi!). Runny eyes, coughing, sneezing, headache, a little fever and lots of nasal congestion. Coughing up phlegm still. Will be 3 weeks on Tuesday but feel like it's almost over. I rarely get sick (even first, of four, covid infections was no worse for me.
