KhunBENQ
Usually I recommend the no-brainer: 009 prefix (CAT), can be used from any Thai mobile. Quality always has been good. Country code to NZ is 64, so this would be 009 64 .... BUT New Zealand comes out quite expensive compared to other destinations: 12 Baht/min!. -> CAT 009 rates Real cheap rates are offered trough calling cards. I have no experience with the quality with these cards. one of them being Easy Card: http://www.easycard.in.th/index.php/en/rates http://www.easycard.in.th/index.php/en/where-to-buy
Bugsy1966
I use Cat2Call. Works well, no echo/delay. 1.5B per minute to a NZ landline although significantly more to a mobile. Rates....... https://link.catnextgen.com/docs/link-rates.pdf
Piifo
Buy skype credit, for calling NZ phones it costs 0,023 US$ per min ( your father doesn't need a computer nor skype to receive the call )
