Hi

And thanks in advance for your guidance.

I got my retirement visa in Chiang Mai.

I am now in the Rayong area and my 90-day report comes due this week.

Does anyone know what I need to bring to the local immigration office in either Klang or Rayong to fulfill the 90-day report other than my passport??

thank you

Michael

You would have to submit a TM28 change of address form along with proof of residence to change your address.

You have to do your 90 day reports to the office where you applied for your extension of stay (it is not a visa) unless your formally change your address.

Just curious.  Wouldn't that require both the OP submitting a TM28 and the house / condo / apt owner where he is staying submitting a TM30 too?

That depends upon the office where it is done. There are still some offices that don't ask for a TM30 form.

is there an immigration office in Klaeng, I thought the only one in Rayong is the Mataphut  office in Rayong, would be great if there was one in Klaeng, as it would cut my driving by one third

I guess as usual it depends on which immig office you go to. I got my yearly retirement renewal in Chonburi last fall and now live in Lampang and when I went to the immig office here, I filled out 90 day notification form, along with handing over relevant photo copies. The guy at the desk barely looked up at me as he did his duty. I was in and out in 20 minutes. But I've heard at other offices presented with similar situation they drag out a bunch of hoops for the farang to jump through.

The OP's question is exactly where the on-line 90 reporting benefits.... but unfortunately it's still not working !!

Other option would be to mail in a 90 day report to his original office (if they'll accept them).

Failing that he'll need to supply a TM30 and then do the 90 day report.  Rayong are happy for you to "self-submit" the TM30 provided you have copies of the house book and owners ID card (and they will sometimes phone the owner for confirmation).  Rayong have never asked for a TM28 - to my knowledge.  The new staff there are VERY helpful, so it shouldn't be a problem, even if he then has to change his address back to his original address again when he returns.

Not specified by the OP was is he down in Rayong permanently or is it just a visit? There is some leeway on when you can do your reports, so maybe he will return in time to do it if just visiting. Not sure how many days you are allowed before and after the date, but at least 7 days i'm sure. I always do mine a couple of days before.

Rayong aren't one of them, though (I can vouch for this on the basis of personal experience).
