The Swiss government has vowed to help secure long-term financial sustainability for the Kantha Bopha children’s hospitals. Last week Beat Richner, the founder and head of the Kantha Bopha Children’s Hospital and a Health Ministry adviser, resigned from his position as managing director due to health problems.

If Mr. Richner would have added a "Barang" Branch also available to well to do Khmers, (charging Bangkok-Hospital prices) he could have made it self sufficient a long time ago. Him not needing to go play Cello all over the world to collect donations.

= A well led "Barang" branch, could have drawn a clientele from all over S/E Asia and well to do Cambodians would not have to fly over to BKK for treatement.

Instead of involving the Swiss-Taxpayer, a re-evaluation of the "Albert Schweitzer / Mother Theresa concept might be in order.
Cheers.
