Phuket bike collision leaves four injured, one seriously

PHUKET: Four people were injured, one seriously, when a big bike collided with a Honda Scoopy in Koh Kaew earlier today.

At 10:20am today (Apr 8), Phuket City Police were informed of an accident where two motorbikes had collided on Thepkrassatri Rd northbound in Koh Kaew leaving four people injured, one seriously.

Lt Col Chalaew Taihu of the Phuket City Police arrived at the scene with Kusoldharm and Srisoonthorn rescue workers to find a badly damaged Honda Scoopy lying in the road. Nearby was an orange Kawazaki big bike.

Lt Col Chalaew said, “There were three people riding on the Honda Scoopy; Ms Khwanta Bauchai, 33; Ms Vassana Binlaroi, 33; and Miss Chonlada Binlaroi, 13.

Today I bought one pack of each patty type from Makro and also picked up a bag of Bega Tasty grated cheddar cheese. It was 250 g for 139 Baht. Good value. Then I cooked one of the grass fed burgers and after the 2.5 minute flip I sprinkled a handful of the grated cheese on top with a dash of salt. After about 5 minutes it was nicely browned on both sides, though the middle was still a little undercooked for my taste. I did not want to put it back in the pan and risk burning the outside, so I put the plate in the microwave for about 30 seconds on medium heat. That finished it perfectly. It turned out to be a fantastic burger. I am really glad I did not go the McDonalds route. It was quick and easy to prepare as well. I skipped the bun and just ate it with a fork. Delicious! After finishing the burger there was still about a large tablespoon of juice or fat on the plate, so it definitely was not dry. I will probably try one of the wagyu ones a bit later, but the grass fed one was already just right for me. Next time I will probably cook it on a slightly lower heat and give it another 45 seconds on each side so the middle cooks a bit more without burning the outside. Thanks again for the tip!

I picked up something whilst in Pattaya a few weeks ago and still have it. Very nasty (and not a Wife, Kik or Mia Noi!). Runny eyes, coughing, sneezing, headache, a little fever and lots of nasal congestion. Coughing up phlegm still. Will be 3 weeks on Tuesday but feel like it's almost over. I rarely get sick (even first, of four, covid infections was no worse for me.
