So ask him for it back or write to him and tell him it has been cancelled/superseded and can he destroy it.

 

In your new will you just have to make sure there is a clause which basically says you revoke all previous wills etc.

There are wills online written by top legal firms. You can copy them and write it yourself. Just need 2 authorised witnesses  to sign off which can be a solicitor. Any new will should say that it replaces any previous ones.

Curious as to why such a fuss about wills as in Thai law all automatically goes down the blood line in a simple situation

Different rules in different regions but a will will apply your wishes. Some people have terrible relatives and dont speak or want them to profit.
