Argus Tuft
Saw this - http://tech.thaivisa.com/fingerprint-scanning-to-be-introduced-for-all-new-thai-sim-card-requests-from-may/20985/ 600 machines to start, moving up to 8,000 machines later? This is going to be interesting. Fire away
Puccini
Quote [The National Telecoms Authority] said that the cost of scanners is not expected to be high and that the finger printing will soon be able to be done at shops nationwide. Does this mean that every 7-Eleven, every shop selling SIM cards, will have a fingerprint scanner? 6,000 scanners won't be enough for the whole country, perhaps not even for Bankgok.
