Travel options at the airport and maybe a map?

Featured Replies

I can no information here about skytrain, where it is and how you get to it, perhaps someone could pin the information on the forum.

I gather that the skytrain is below the airport as I see the line heading downwards but how do you get to it from arrivals?

It's not called the Skytrain (BTS) but Airport Rail Link (ARL).

It's quite easy to get to the train.

Use an elevator and select the lowest level.

Walk out and you can hardly miss it.

Some shops and food stuff on one side and a wide entrance going down a bit further on the other side (center of the hall).

Access is on the first floor... That said, depending on luggage, time of arrival and your destination its often much simpler to take a taxi...

Indeed with big luggage it's not convenient.

When changing in the city to the BTS you have to carry your stuff down steep long stairs and walk quite a distance.

(or has anything changed?)

If you take the airport rail link/city line to the Phyathai station it is a walk with no stairs for the BTS.

About the same for the MRT at the  Makkasan station.

I have done it at both those stations but only had small bags.

Info is here on the airport website.  http://suvarnabhumiairport.com/en/121-airport-rail-link
