Been saying it for years SB.  How many specialist surgeons or Queen's Counsels do you see covered in 'ink'?

It's about impressions, and if you look like a crim, you're making it easy for the court to treat you like a crim.

next time there is English football on the tv look at the players as 90% are covered in ink

even the super rich from years ago like David Beckham covered in ink.

Covered in ink, but not in intelligence.  Is Beckham a surgeon or QC??

Beckham's hard put to string two words together.....AND make any sense, so he's not a good example.

I don't know of a single lawyer, and I know a lot through my lawyer partner,  with a visible tattoo, and after a couple of joint replacements, frequenting an orthopedic clinic where there are 14 surgeons working, I haven't seen one with a visible tattoo.

Not all people with tatts are criminals, but many criminals have tatts.   Judges and juries are humans, and even though appearances should count for nothing, inked defendants do make it more difficult for themselves.  Even wearing a long sleeved shirt would have gone some way to minimizing the impact.

Why do they.have a death penalty here ?.. Just call it life sentence which what it is.

Death sentence has not been retracted from legislation, just suspended executions. Recall lawmakers were going to review whether to recommence executions (hundreds of outstanding executions) or cancel death sentence legislation, guess decision will be at some time in the future when an elected government is in place.

My hairdresser and barber has tattoos from head to toe and works in a fancy salon in Central Embassy. Cut and shave will cost you around 2,000 baht.

I consider this an honest and respectable job. Not like he is issuing traffic tickets or something.

2000 baht ! that is criminal ;-)

Is it really progress to stop the law for death centences ?  Are you better of as an inmate with a centence "for life in prison" ? Maybe in western countries but in Thailand ?

Yes, I know that he can't get "laser removal" before going to court. And yes I know that he will probably never get them removed, and I know that it is his right to have as many tattoos as he want.

What I'm saying is, it's hard to plead innocent to murder when you look like most criminals who are already in jail. Tattoos have nothing to do with the case, but how often do you see perfect law-abiding citizens who work respectable jobs covered in tattoos like that?

Just my thoughts. Maybe he's innocent. Jesus, you guys have to stop taking every sentence a member says and using it to trash them.

"but how often do you see perfect law-abiding citizens who work respectable jobs covered in tattoos like that?"

Everyday (or when I used to work anyway)

hmmmm....... in regard to the tattooing ... I wonder if this man was prepared to mutilate his own body in the way we see in the pic......what would he do to other people?

Regarding Tats-  40% of Americans between the ages of 26-40 have at least one.

-75% of prison inmates have Tats- however, many get them while in prison.

Source:  Goggle search.

Of course, this does not mean that just because a person has ink they are a criminal or going to commit a crime. I know many people who have them simply because they like Tattoos and its a way of self expression.

I don't have any because I don't like needles but do like the designs people display.

Regarding the convicted person- I would be more interested in what his Tats say or the pics displayed. That would be more indicative of his mindset than simply having the Tat.

Well, it used to cost about that to go to Sassoon's back in the late 60s/early seventies, a ridiculous sum really, particularly to end up looking no better than a (very bad) drag version of Dusty Springfield or Jane Fonda. Men's hair was not the best thing about the 60s. I save a particularly savage wrath for whoever dares to drag out those snaps today.

Sorry for being off topic.

It was Sasssooons! Vidall! have you been stalking me all this time?

I too would apoligise for being off topic, but hair, tattoo's & murder most foul are kind off related

Are you seriously suggesting there is a connection between hair styles and murder?

Are you serious? take a look through history, every mass murderer has had a dodgy hairstyle! current culprit as well!

It is a proven fact there are more murders done by people with dodgy hairstyles than those with tattoo's!

Ask anyone who knows about these things!

Sorry - but to me it looks like hes confirming a date with a guy called Lucas at just after half past eleven!5326164cbff4923a77e4ee53c5b230dc.jpeg&key=096d1be04a82e51b1b9eb63032fad538bf46e8e73695954022fb70c8f870d3ae

I had a girlfriend,  back in my former life. She had a few tats but she wasn't a killer.

The one tat i liked best, was where she had the letter 'B' tatted on one bum cheek, and the letter 'B' tatted on the other. When she bent over, it spelled 'BOB':shock1:

I must agree he looks better in this pic.

I think he is a psychopath as other photos of him ,he looked very sick.

One thing that psychopath's do is never admit guilt , they can show no empathy and usually are highly  intelligent.

Their brains are hard wired, and they can not display empathy and many other feelings.

The only different type of psychopaths are cheese cake psychopath's Like Swiss cheese they have pathways that allow a little empathy through.

The trouble with this world if that these people run the world, they are a completely different animal to a normal honest person.

The powers that be know this , they know that they can manipulate the poor as they will usually pay their bills and be honest..

Tats don't make any difference to this nutter tat or know tats he was doomed by the evidence.

Yes his life is in tatters but by the look on his face he does not seem to care. I doubt if they will ever execute him but the word execute makes good press. I am sure a long stretch behind bars will wipe the grin off of his face. One can only speculate what his terror look will be in a few years if he lasts that long
