KhunBENQ
I have never seen one in Thailand and also have not seen eggs being sold. There seems to be a couple of farms scattered around he country. Where do you live? Do you speak Thai or have a Thai partner/person who could help to get in contact? The thread is in the farming forum. Do you want to breed? jacko45k
In Tesco. They do not have them on display and keep them under the fresh meat display counters. You have to talk to the lady that works there, although she is Cambodian and does not speak Thai or English. You need to jump up and down flapping your elbows making Ostrich noises. They are only sold in dozens at 2400 baht, but that is good value, a fork lift truck is supplied to take you and your shopping to your vehicle. No idea if it is still there or not. Also in Kap Choeng at the Surin Provincial Border Area Development Center they has 4 Ostrich but that too has been some time back. Best advice is given by KB. joebrown
I'd have thought the most likely places to find them are in or outside government offices. The employees always seem to have their heads buried in the sand, just like ostriches!

jak2002003
Where do you live? I am in Chiang Mai... there is a small zoo near my house in Doi Suket.... they breed Ostrich and often have the fertile eggs for sale at about 200 baht each. I have bough a few in the past and made huge omelets... the taste is just the same as chicken eggs... but the shell is really thick and hard to crack open. sandemara
Ostrich restaurant? Yuk! Traditionally, ostrich meat is either baked or boiled. You place a brick in the pot/tray with the meat. The brick enhances the cooking process. Remove the brick once every 2 hours; when the brick is tender, so will be the ostrich meat.
