CHIANG RAI: -- Anti-narcotics police arrested two men in Chiang Rai province for possessing 1 million methamphetamine tablets on Sunday.

The suspects were identified as Pisit Narongrit, 35, and Prathan Chumkaew, 25.

The drugs were hidden inside fertiliser bags in their truck.

Pisit said he had been offered Bt400,000 to deliver the drug.

“I have not been yet paid. I was told to deliver the stuff to Songkhla,” he said.

Police said they had received a tip-off about the plan to transport drugs to the South in a truck, and they knew the vehicle’s licence plate number.

As usual, just the small fry caught, while the monsters prepare another shipment.

Those drugs manufacturers seems to have an endless resources

of drug making materials on tap and pretty much free hand to make

them without a worry in the world, and that all thanks to the Burmese

government and largely to the Thai government who doesn't do much

to nip the problem at the source.....

Seems the transport arrangements are endless, cabbages one minute fertiliser the next.

Meanwhile 10 vehicles back, an even bigger truck has 15 million  tablets stashed in it. Sacrifice 1 million and 2 idiots to get 15 million through.

So either there is a grass in the operation, who will probably be dead by the end of the day, or this was a ploy to keep the cops busy while several other much larger consignments made there way south.

Given that this wasn't a random stop and they knew the vehicle, I do not understand why they pulled it and arrested the driver. Why did they not follow it to where it was going and get the distribution network and the operators at the same time? Big opportunity missed.

Thai police isn't that bright. They want result immediately.

Ask any Thai or police officer if he wants to have 20.000 THB on the spot or wait 4 weeks to receive 50.000 THB.

They all will choose for the first option, take the 20.000 THB on the spot. Four weeks later they will come and ask if they can get the "remaining" 30.000 THB.
