Phuket bids farewell to 11-month-old girl, hanged by father

PHUKET: Relatives of Jiranuch Trirat, 24, gathered at Srisoonthorn temple graveyard as the distraught mother bid farewell to her 11-month-old child.

Phuket resident Wuttisan “Tei” Wongtalay, 20, hanged his daughter and then himself from a derelict building in Mai Khao on Monday (Apr 24) in what police believe was act motivated by jealousy. Wuttisan broadcast the horrific incident on the internet through a Facebook Live video, and that was how shocked Beta's mother Jiranuch Trirat learned about it (read here).

Today I bought one pack of each patty type from Makro and also picked up a bag of Bega Tasty grated cheddar cheese. It was 250 g for 139 Baht. Good value. Then I cooked one of the grass fed burgers and after the 2.5 minute flip I sprinkled a handful of the grated cheese on top with a dash of salt. After about 5 minutes it was nicely browned on both sides, though the middle was still a little undercooked for my taste. I did not want to put it back in the pan and risk burning the outside, so I put the plate in the microwave for about 30 seconds on medium heat. That finished it perfectly. It turned out to be a fantastic burger. I am really glad I did not go the McDonalds route. It was quick and easy to prepare as well. I skipped the bun and just ate it with a fork. Delicious! After finishing the burger there was still about a large tablespoon of juice or fat on the plate, so it definitely was not dry. I will probably try one of the wagyu ones a bit later, but the grass fed one was already just right for me. Next time I will probably cook it on a slightly lower heat and give it another 45 seconds on each side so the middle cooks a bit more without burning the outside. Thanks again for the tip!

I picked up something whilst in Pattaya a few weeks ago and still have it. Very nasty (and not a Wife, Kik or Mia Noi!). Runny eyes, coughing, sneezing, headache, a little fever and lots of nasal congestion. Coughing up phlegm still. Will be 3 weeks on Tuesday but feel like it's almost over. I rarely get sick (even first, of four, covid infections was no worse for me.

I’m wondering if McDonald’s beef patties in Thailand are actually any good in terms of meat quality. I can’t remember the last time I had one here. Maybe once or twice many years ago.
