Hypothetically someone comes in for an injury and they are clearly under the influence of Marijuana. Red eyed, and smell like it, or coke with dilated pupils and high bp and HR. I know in the states it's ignored and they just treat you.

April 30, 20178 yr It would very much depend in whether a police case was involved. A vehicular accident would certainly involve police, for example. For an illness or injury involving no one else and no one else's property, just someone coming in for care, I have never known a hospital to file a report with police. Nor would they usually test for drugs since the results would not alter the medical treatment.
