jack2964
Not sure if this is the correct place to ask this. Mod pls move if required. I am about to catch a flight with 1 camera body with 1 battery installed and a further 4 spare batteries. They are all Li_ion rated at 1800mAh each. Will I be hassled at security? Don't want to have any confiscated as they are not cheap. I ask because the last time I flew I remember security asking what capacity my 2 powerbanks for my cell phone were and they actually had a close look on the labels but eventually allowed to pass. By them scrutinizing the batteries mean certain batteries aren't allowed and would be good to know in advance. TIA!
Crossy
Limit is 100 Watt-hours per battery, yours are 13 Watt-hours, so no problem there. Make sure your spares cannot be shorted (if you don't have transit covers put some tape over the contacts) and you should have no issues.
jack2964
Thanks Crossy. Had a look on the FAA website and that was quoted as well. I do have their blanking covers.
