What's worse than extremely loud Alvin and the Chipmunks Christmas music clone sounds with the treble up full and bass non-existent - with singing voices coming from girls who sound like they're the size of a teddy bear - nasal singing off key in any one of the big box mega stores in Thailand?

What are managers thinking when they allow two and three different types of music - in different keys to blast throughout their stores? I know how Thai people would never complain - even if fire alarms were blaring in their faces - but some farang have a sensitivity to being assaulted with ingratiating sounds - especially those with an ear for decent music.

It's not a lot different that having several people spraying odd smelling vapours throughout in an enclosed room - it's an assault on the senses, and Big Box, Big C, Makro, fast food, Tesco Lotus managers just don't get it. Thanks Bob I only have to shop minimally in those Bob-forsaken places (for green apples, that's it).
