Hello All!

French citizen here looking for visa advice. I am currently applying to international companies to come back legally and permanently to Thailand.

However, in 2012, I have been an intern in a French Korean startup in Seoul, South Korea (end of studies internship for my Bachelor). No visa possible for me, so I went as tourist with only the airport stamps, worked for my contract length of 3 months and flew back to France.

Then in 2014, I have been an intern in a French-Thai startup in BKK to get more experience after my master degree. I've stayed 6 months, first with an ED visa and then with a running visa as I was travelling in SEA (4 reentries by bus / plane) and I got tired on the administration (TBH).

Now, I am working for a multinational in Europe which did a background/criminal record check and validated everything. To my current employer, I am clear.

So, assuming my application in Thailand get accepted, my questions are the following:

Question #1: Would the Thai administration grant me a proper working visa, or will my application be rejected?

Question #2: Shall I renew my passport to have higher chances of having access to the working visa? (Ideally multi entries)

LinkedIn profile or PDF resume can be provided for more details.

I am really looking forward your recommendations. Thanks a lot in advance!

Caroline.

Your company will have to provide paperwork and documentation so you can legally work here. You cannot apply on your own.

I understand that it has to go through the company, however, I am asking in order to save time to all parties involved. If a company applies to get me working visa, could this application be accepted or would it have high chances of being rejected ?

The bottom line is whether you have special skill that cannot be obtained from a Thai employee. If the answer is you have no special skills to benefit the company, ie being an expert in your particular field etc etc, then it will be less likely to be approved.
