Counselling clinics to prevent repeat of crimes ‘a success’

BANGKOK: -- The Psycho-Social Clinics set up to provide counselling to convicts, defendants on bail pending trial and suspects accused of drug taking and domestic violence have been successful in lowering the repeat of such offences over the past three years, Office of the Narcotics Control Board (ONCB) secretary-general Sirinya Sitdhichai said.

PHUKET: -- Phuket lifeguards have put out a warning to beachgoers to be careful of Portuguese man o’ war when entering the water at the island’s west coast beaches.

One suspect, two girlfriends captured after videotaped jail break

ROI ET: -- A suspect in a drugs case, Surasak Khanthamat – who fled a local police station’s detention cell in Roi Et’s Phon Thong district on Saturday with another suspect, Surachai Phumipak, and their two girlfriends – was recaptured along with the two women in a wooded area of Kalasin’s Na Mon district on Thursday morning.
