BANGKOK, 25 May 2017 (NNT) - Deputy Police Chief Pol Gen Sriwara Rangsipromkul said no arrests have been made following an explosion at Phramongkutklao Hospital on Monday as the investigation is still underway.

Pol Gen Sriwara revealed that he has yet to receive any confirmation from the army about a suspect being arrested or detained at an army camp as rumored. So far, investigators have summoned witnesses for questioning.

Authorities found that three people seen on the CCTV footage sitting next to a vase believed to contain an explosive device have no connection to the incident. The Deputy Police Chief is confident the perpetrator will finally be brought to justice.

The police are now trying to identify a male suspect based on a composite sketch.

Meanwhile, the police have released Ar-wae Yusov after proving that he was not the one sending a letter to the National Cancer Institute to warn about possible bombings at the facility and at two other hospitals.

Another investigation is also underway to find whether the letter came from the Barisan Revolusi Nasional (BRN), the militant group in southernmost provinces.

Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha has urged people to look out for one another and report to the police if they see any suspicious individuals or items.

I note in the news this morning that the army denies any involvement but that it was 'red shirts'. Really?

All that rank, military bling and medals, and not a ******* clue!

I think they're police, not military, so any bling is RTP and not Stolen Valor per se.

Won't comment on the "rank".

"......Deputy Police Chief Pol Gen Sriwara Rangsipromkul said no arrests have been made...."

Rewards need to be offered by the RTP before any arrests can be made by the RTP. The precedent has been set with the Erawan Shrine bombing.

no arrest... no clues... not news
