I see many types of member, advanced, platinum, etc etc

 

Can someone elaborate a little more

It is based upon the number of posts done. I don't recall the thresholds for each one.

I searched the TV site and could not find an answer

 

So if even a moderator of UbonJoe's experience and stature, is not sure then there must be many members who are also confused

 

It would be rather nice if someone from TV could set out the criteria, so we are all aware, of what is what, or let everyone just be simple members

It is based on post count.

Belongs to the group "advanced members"

 

Member type is above avatar, group below.

 

And I think that the Member Type (above the avatar) can be custom edited after 500 posts (if I recall correctly)... just as the OP has.

But on post number 4 Jai Dee said above 30 goes from advanced to senior

 

I am very dyslectic and find this a little difficult to follow

Of course "This is Thailand and this is also Thai Visa" would clarify all

There are two places membership status is displayed. The top one is the one Jai Dee listed that changes as the member post count climbs (but can be also be edited as the member post count exceeds 500 posts).

 

The member status displayed below the avatar indicates what permission 'group' the member belongs (Members, Advanced Members, Moderators, Global Moderators, Administrators,  etc).  It just happens to share two common titles with the post count.

 

 

I am a V8 member, l keep telling them l am an Angels Voice member but it falls on deaf ears...

As you have over 500 posts you can have a custom member name, yours was same as your name.

I cleared it for you so you are now senior member, if you wish to have a custom member name edit your profile.
