Thanks! Normal car is OK. The interpreter should better speak Chinese. I'll be in Thailand for about one month. Can the price be lower? Is he(she) yourself or your friend? Could you find an interpreter who can drive? Edited by greatwall

couldnt help b*tt in...but seriously....1000bht a day isnt that high, and you expect the person to drive as well?

we paid fresh graduates the rate of 1000bht a day including meals (lunch and coffee breaks) to work in airconditioned hotel room. they didnt have to chauffer people around.

jumbo...wasnt suggesting any of that. what i meant was....its a bit much to expect the interpreter to drive AND interpret for the rate of THB1000 per day, plus the OP is asking for an even lower rate. i was pointing out that the rate is ALREADY low.

anyway just my thoughts.

cheers.

Thank you all, friends!

I really don't know the average price for hiring a car or empolying a driver, even an interpreter. I just consider the price from China local level. It doesn't matter. I think I can understand well after I arrive in Bangkok.

I do feel very happy because there are friends here would share thoughts with me. I hope everything smoothly in thailand next month.

Hi Great Wall,

I'm happy to bring you around while you are here in Thailand. I have my own car and we can talk about the hiring price later. Maybe just gasoline fees, if everything can come to a conculsion. I can speak Mandarin, Cantonese, Thai and English... and I know my way around Bangkok well. Send me a reply if you are interested, and maybe I will be your travel companion here in Thailand. Hope to hear from you soon.
