NAKHON PATHOM: -- Illegal construction workers from Cambodia and Myanmar fled a raid at a building site in Nakon Pathom yesterday.

They hid in drains and holes under buildings but were all eventually rounded up.

Eight were found without documents at a housing estate under construction in Bang Khaem sub-district.

Later a milk processing facility was raided in Petchkasemn Road where a further 15 illegals were taken into custody.

The raids were made after orders from Nakorn Pathom governor Adisak Thep-art.

All the workers were taken to the police station and charged with illegal entry into Thailand.

Let me guess, the projects were nearly complete and the workers had not yet been paid. Oops can't pay now, so sorry.

What happens to the bosses who hired these "illegal" workers in the first place??##?? It sounds like one big scam. Velly solly.....

what a show to catch some innocent workers, poor souls.

Should arrest the guys who arrange this kind of , most likely, underpaid work.
