today I completed my first journey to Immigration Division 1 - Bangkok, arrived there at 7.30 am, got my ticket , was No. 368! got all  documents and copies required but we manage to complete the process of the extension before lunch time, got stamp in my passport " Application of stay is under consideration , contact again in person on 29/12/2017" my initial 90 days valid until 20/12, is that means my visa extended until the review date which is 29/12? thank you for your advise as I can not go this far without your information and suggestions , many thanks

Evan

The under consideration stamp allows you to stay in the country until your extension is approved.

The report back date is just that it does not mean that is when the under consideration period ends then.

No problem to stay in the country until the 29th and beyond if needed.

  • When the 30 day under consideration report back date starts depends upon where you apply. Many offices start it from the date the your current permit to stay ends.

  • A combination of money in the bank and income is not allowed for an extension based upon marriage. It is 400k baht in a Thai bank or 40k baht average monthly income (480K baht annual).

  • You are describing an extension of stay based on marriage, visas are not available within Thailand. But i know what you mean.   I also go to Phuket and my approval never took place within a month. Th
