world airline rankings

Featured Replies

I see that Thai Airways are ranked at no.11 (out of over 325 airlines).

Guess this thread is going to be rather quiet.:whistling:

I am surprised at that, but when i used to fly i found Thai airways ok.

Always good food and plenty of drink, 1 time i asked a stewardess for a brandy, she brought me 3 minatures, and said that is to save me coming back, i remember you from a previous flight and youi had a few brandys then.

Now you cant get better service than that.

Yeap, the haters won't get a chance to hate.  Well, they'll probably crap on the source.  I did notice that Bangkok Airways is ranked higher than any US carrier....interesting.

Having flown on Air Asia recently I have a new respect for the comparative comfort on Thai, at least you don't need to see a chiropractor after the flight.

What a hateful post!

But of course there are bad haters and good haters, and you obviously believe you are a good hater that needs to set the bad haters straight.

Flew Emirates for 10  years and  dumped them for their  poor  service, they may have the  best planes, lounges and food but the staff have been awful over the last 4 years or so, I switched to sri lankan whose staff were wonderful and attentive, all are  business class flights.

They have now (Emirates) introduced so many clauses for using   air miles you  may as  well throw  them away, cant even  book your seat online with the cheapest economy seats and also lowered luggage to 20kg.

In Business they regularly forgot my "welcome aboard" drink and when pressing the  call  button they took forever.

Sri Lankan have older planes A330-300 but have a lie  flat bed the foods  not as  good  but still fine, as  a  member of "One World you can use  many other airlines lounges  such as Cathay Pacific ( although the BKK one is dingy) but also cip  lounges the Japanese Sakura  lounge and Thai airways  lounge.

Ive  just arrived back in the UK via Sri lankan and they also have a chauffeur limo for 50   miles out of Heathrow, price 67k baht as  opposed to Emirates 103k into Heathrow

I take it you're a (comparative) shortarse and have no issues with Thai Smiles 30" seat pitch.

Have flown Qatar a few times. Very nice airline. Far better than any US airline.
