PM orders agencies to organize cabinet retreat in 6 regions

BANGKOK, 22 June 2017 (NNT) - The Government Spokesperson stated that the Prime Minister has ordered related agencies to organize a cabinet retreat in six regions nationwide.

Lt. Gen. Sansern Kaewkamnerd, Government Spokesperson, said that the Prime Minister had ordered related agencies to organize a cabinet retreat throughout six regions in the country, including the north, central, northeast, south, Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), and southern border provinces.

According to the Government Spokesperson, the current government had only organized two cabinet retreats, in the provinces of Prachuab Kirikhan and Chiang Mai. The Prime Minister also ordered ministers, deputy ministers and high-ranking officials to conduct field surveys of the six regions in order to push forward a common understanding among local administrations, especially in the task of relaying and implementing the government’s orders and policies.

The ministers and officials were also urged to meet with the local public and address the government’s responsibility, and respond to problems that arise from the distorted information.

What kind of cabinet retreat are we being told about? A liquor cabinet or a weekend party retreat? Does a military cabinet actually need to retreat?

Agencies to organize government retreat in 6 regions!!

First request, plenty of booze.

Second request plenty of food.

Third request, plenty of young girls, oops my mistake young women.

Seems like he's a bit concerned that the tight grip he holds on the country may be slipping a bit as various small issues (trains, subs, health care, energy, land reform, revenue short-falls) catch fire.

I'm not sure "retreat" is a term the military types like to hear used.

There is a none too subtle message to be read into that comment. Orders are orders and we are here to make sure you obey. And we have ways of making you obey.

Next time you will stand to attention and salute when you enter the Commander in Chief's luxury retreat/resort suite.

That's about right. The junta government is retreating and going downhill as each day of their authoritarian rule continues. They have to re-group and re-organize or something will implode.
