Need a Notary ...Urgent !

Featured Replies

i'm in Chiang Mai need to get a document notarized and sent back to the U.S fast...the consulate doesn't have an appointment until next week...anybody have any advice

thankyou

Have you called the Consulate to explain the need?  Expect they might be able to make exception in real emergency.  But actually next week is not very far in the future.

Dependent upon what you need to have notarized I would say you are out of luck until Tuesday when the ACS is open again Chiang Mai. You could try contacting them about getting it done sooner. Contact info is here: https://th.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/

As the document is for the US I don't think anywhere but a US consultate or Embassy will do.

Call and plead. Or if it is worth it to you, see if the Embassy in Bangkok has an earlier opening and travel.

Depends on what the document is for

If for a US govermnent agency, Sheryl is correct, but if it is just a civil matter, any English speaking attorney in Thailand can serve as a notary

Mine has a certificate, in English, that explains this and is submitted with the notarized document.  Sold some property in the US and it was accepted without question
