webfact Posted July 3, 2017 Share Posted July 3, 2017 Tourists warned about Portuguese man-of-war By The Nation KRABI: -- Resorts, hotels and tourism business operators in Krabi were on Monday asked by officials to warn tourists about Portuguese man-of-war spotted at several popular islands. The latest warning was made after a tourist was injured by the stinger, also known as a blue bottle, at Koh Lanta. As part of the warning, guides also collected samples of blue bottles collected from beaches on Koh Ngai and Koh Lanta islands to show to tourists. Officials at Hat Nopparat Thara-Mu Koh Phi Phi National Park warned tourist boat operators to keep an eye out for the sea creature. They were told to prohibit swimming if they spot them nearby. Stargeezr Posted July 3, 2017 Share Posted July 3, 2017 I guess the rany season is worse than Winter for jelly fish, or at least I hope that is the case.
