BANGKOK, 6 July 2017 (NNT) – The Ministry of Tourism and Sports (MOTS) is pushing forward the Sports for All 4.0 campaign toward the world.

MOTS Permanent-Secretary Pongpanu Svetarundra said the MOTS will continue to hold exercise activities at public places for the general public to join until the end of September, as it has previously hold exercise activities at public parks and plazas every Wednesday for four weeks according to the government policy.

He said Deputy Prime Minister Tanasak Patimapragon had initiated the idea of the establishment of the national sports academy and national Thai boxing academy, laying the foundation for the upgrade of Thai sporting scene. The proposal will be submitted to the Cabinet for further approval.

The establishment of sports academies goes in keeping with the government policy to improve the general public's health and the raising the excellence in Thai sports, as well as preserving and promoting Thai boxing as a form of martial arts and exercise, and encourage more people to play sports particularly youth, as well as promoting Thai sports to receive acceptance from the international community.

This country gets more loopy by the day. Why is it I get the feeling there is government funding driving this initiative and someone is anxious to get their hands on it.

Does anyone seriously believe the PM and his grovelling toadies are still doing their afternoon exercises all ponced up in their expensive sports gear.
