Would be more realistic to apply for the world Dominoes championships.

Rent out out an old disused warehouse.

Plenty of plastic chairs at Makro.

Order a three hundred sets of Dominoes from Aliexpress.

I suppose they will be on hand knees begging for the illegal foreign workers to come back and build the stadiums.

Go for it Thailand. A World Cup could do much to inspire and rejuvenate the country. It will bring everyone together like nothing else could. Where do I get a ticket?

Not long before we hear that the Tour De Thailand will be the worlds No. 1 cycling event.

Just in ...........  The Melbourne Cup to be run at Khon Kaen race course 2020 with record Bht 175,000,000 prize money.

Local horses to get priority if they can pass the first clause.... to have won over 2300 mtrs or further.

Local jockeys can claim 7 kg.

Local authorities have assured that the usual 100,000 crowd will be adequately catered for with chang grog being allowed to be bought between  2 - 5 pm.

I think it's great these people have such good imaginations, but this seems like the triumph of fantasy over reality.

Still, in 3 months nobody will remember he said this anyway. Maybe even 3 weeks.

If they can build indoor stadiums with air-con I think it can be a success.

If not , forget it.

Wasn't it the footsai stadium that wasn't finished in time for the first match a couple of years ago and it had to be relocated? That little bit of project management didn't turn out very well as I recall. I wonder if the great big world outside Thailand will agree to forget all that so that Thailand can strut the world stage and some Thais will earn a fortune in corruption...

Seems a touch unlikely to me given the state of FIFA in Thailand too. Some scores to settle there.

On balance, I suspect plummeting pigs is more likely, but that's not important because most Thais will have forgotten the whole thing by the end of next week anyway..
