Tchooptip
Hi every one, monday I will go for my retirement one year extension, among other things a copy of the passport. Is there any specificity I could miss, the size, what page and so on? For it seems I vaguely remember about someone having a little problem with his passport copy? Thanks for your lighting always valuable
KhunBENQ
No magic. To be on the safe side: Copy of main page with personal details/photo. Copy of all pages with Thai stamps/stickers (visa sticker, entry stamp(s), extension(s) etc.). (could be some more than required but better than running after more copies) Do in black/white (some don't fancy color copies). No resizing/photoshop/editing (pasting on one sheet etc.). Original signature on each page (would do that with a blue ballpoint).

lopburi3
Have not heard of any problems using color for the last decade (way back they would say your were making forgery if in color - before inkjet became the normal home computer printer). Don't forget you also need to copy departure card on another sheet of paper - I copy front and back on same page but my card is the old vertical type. khunPer
Agree with KhunBENQ... Normally the requirement at Samui Immigration is: ID page with name, photo etc. ect. Visa page, with the Visa you wish extended stay on. Last entry stamp into Thailand. Last extension, if you had en extension made before. Departure card (can be folded out together with last entry-stamp). Black & White is normally preferred, and remember to sign all copies.

Thank you, for instance I would not have sign the copies, I reckon its no big deal but I prefer having everythings correctly done from the beginning... thanks to you
TheLobster
I do remember being told that I'd photocopied my passport in landscape and that was not acceptable, it needed to be in portrait but that was in the past and maybe they are not so anal now...... lopburi3
Everything needs to be portrait as that is the way a file is read.

michemiche
Hello @Tchooptip So i guess now you have made your extension ??? Can you please make a full report of what papers they ask, whats new from last year, etc. It should be very helpfull for a lot of people including me who live in Koh Pha Ngan and cannot really go every day to Koh Samui. Thanxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
samuijimmy
Here's the requirement list I was given yesterday... Sorry a little blurred but I think still readable. It's not specify that hospital visit has to be done at Nathon Samui hospital...anymore....??? One couple I know on KP were asked to have a photo of them out side their house...(both English ) They did not have, so had to make second trip ... There is a photo copy shop out side of immigration... as long as you have originals required ..

lopburi3
I would guess it is the local immigration form that you sign to confirm your understanding that if your extension status changes to no longer meeting original conditions your extension ends (or in case of Thai family members death at end of current extension). All copies should be in vertical (portrait) mode so can read as a normal file. You place passport info page across copy to make readable - visa pages in normal vertical position. In "worst case scenario" at Samui Immigration, your application will be rejected and you need to come back with proper portrait copies; remember all photocopies shall be duly signed, before you hand them in...
