Jet-setting former monk now ordered extradited to Thailand

The Office of the Attorney-General is ready to form a team of attorneys to fly to the United States to escort the infamous former monk  Luang Pu Nen Kham back to Thailand to face charges after the US court has ordered him to be extradited upon request by the Thai authorities.

The week that was in Thailand news: Thailand - First World or Third World it still rocks my world.

Rooster has never used the term “third world” when referring to Thailand. It’s not that my specs have a strong tint of rose, just that I long since accepted its shortcomings and preferred to celebrate its improvements rather than dwell on what is wrong all the time.

A few expats in Pattaya have recently coined a phrase across social networks that has hitherto been reserved for cities having experienced a terrorist attack; this in relation to what they cite as the fall away of Pattaya of old – citing empty restaurants and bars as being a shadow of their former glory days.

Speed up purchase of rubber, PM orders

Thai officials head to US as monk set to face extradition

Maryam Mirzakhani, award-winning mathematician, dies at 40
