PHUKET: -- News of the major crystal meth drug bust this week with 7.5 kilos of ya ice seized in a condo north of Phuket Town was disturbing. Whenever they have a road stop when they make everyone do a urine test, they consistently find 25% of the drivers are using Yaba or Ice.  Your average Thai guy under 30 is high. Now, they're having a 90% off sale.

Ya ba are tablets containing a mixture of methamphetamine and caffeine. Some effects include:
Euphoria.
Insomnia.
Irritability and aggression.
Decreased appetite and nausea.
Hot flashes, dry mouth, and sweating.
Damage to the small blood vessels in the brain.
Increased alertness, wakefulness, and physical activity.
Increased heart rate, blood pressure, respiration, and body temperature.

It's speed.  Ice is the purest and most potent form of methamphetamine. It comes as a powder or crystals that are usually snorted, injected or smoked. Smoking ice is more addictive than most other forms of drug use. Ice is more likely to cause paranoia and hallucinations.

Thailand is turning the nation into Yaba users.
