Rear doors of most cars probably do have child safety locks, but  they only work if they are used

correctly. This driver likely did not do that.  I have seen many people in Thailand who were not aware

what the switch on the door was for.

This is sad on so many levels, but "HOW THE HELL DOES THE DRIVER NOT SEE THE DAMN DOOR OPEN and the DRIVE OFF WITH IT WIDE OPEN"
