Watch: Shocking moment Thai toddler falls from car and narrowly avoids being crushed to death

This is the shocking moment a small girl falls from a moving car and avoids being run over by a matter of inches.

Miraculously, the girl escapes seemingly without serious injury.

The incident, which took place on Monday afternoon in the Minburi district of Bangkok, was captured on a dashcam.

In the footage, a white Nissan Almera can be seen sat in heavy traffic but when the car begins to move the young girl falls out of what looks like the front passenger seat and into the busy road.

However, the Nissan then begins to drive forward, narrowly missing the girl who rolls out of the way just in the nick of time.

A woman can be seen picking up the girl and putting her back in the car, which then drives off.

The footage was shared on Facebook by Pornpilin Aeamsaad who said the incident took place on Monday afternoon (7 Aug) and explained that dashcam had not been setup properly and displayed an incorrect date.

The condition of the girl remains unknown.

The incident takes place from around 2 minutes onwards.

The result of no law or understanding of child restraints in vehicles!!!

Child safety locks, child restraint seat and good parenting are seemingly absent.

you cant help stupid, there are far too few parents in Thailand that actually use common sense with their children, far easier to let them do as they please and ignore their safety or teach them the right way to do things.

Possibly not the luckiest kid alive but pretty damn close.

Still suffering from a mentally challenged parent. Other than that, she's fine.

What was the driver doing? How long does it take to realise that A: The passenger door is open and B: Your door has fallen out of said door

Had a car in oncoming traffic crossover the yellow briefly into my lane on a major road.

As we passed each other, I looked over and there was a child no more than 2 or 3 yrs old standing on the lap of the driver.

I see Thai parents with 'mental issues' like this almost every day. Yesterday it was two kids riding in a Supermarket Trolley and they managed to bring it crashing over on its side hurting the pair of them.  Mother was of course busy on her phone !

Why is it people think Thai's are so 'caring' ?   Mystery to me.

thank goodness the child seems to look OK

Great parenting.

Once saw a kid fall out of a moving car rear window in Kuwait.... again apparently uninjured as fortunately vehicle had  slowed for a junction, A few minutes earlier it had been doing 150kph.

And of course the parent (or whoever was driving) will be sendtaway with a smile and an advice, assuming the police even bothers with it.. No wonder everything is <deleted> here.

Profane acronym removed.

Can have 10 people in the back of a pick up truck, so why would Thai(s) government care of children protection seats in car?
It's a lovely country but their laws have something to wish for!

Most car have auto lock after reaching certain speed. I wonder if parents unlocked the car as I doubt that girl knows how to play with door lock.

Door can be unlocked from the inside by just pulling the handle. Exception  are the back doors which can be locked via child-safety locks so they can't be opened from the inside.

Introduction of an intelligence test before Thais can drive or have kids.

Most would fail..!!!

Exactly, and that's where toddlers belong, on the rear seats and properly restrained.

Perhaps you should post in Forum Support as to why it is you cannot view the video instead of posting in every thread that you cannot see the video.

And...Who do you propose should administer and score such a test? Certainly not those who already do the same for granting drivers' licenses.

I cannot help wonder ... watching what happened....

Looks like the girl opened the door herself. But what is interesting is the hazard lights go on just before and the car rolls fwd as if in gear but not accelerated. Hazard ligjts go off and a woman climbs out... as if from the back seat not the drivers seat. So there are 2 ppl in the car and atleast one child.

I guess the kid hit the hazard lights button and pulled the door open herself while adults were picking their noses

Maybe looking forward at the traffic seeing that the door opened just as the driver was accelerating and perhaps the woman who got out was the driver so that is why it took a few seconds for her to stop and get out the passenger side??  don't know really.

Not that lucky when you think of the parents she has.

Well,.... what everybody at this day and age does,..... texting and driving......

God save this little girl's foot otherwise her parents would regret for the rest of their life.
