You could try travel insurance for the first year +. It is much cheaper but its based on the UK etc being your home but you can travel for years. For 8 months for me its under £150.
Also consider personal accident insurance, max cover I've seen for medical is 200k for 7k premium

my home is Israel, can i use that even the company based in the UK ?
You need to look for travel insurance available from Israel. In the UK i have to opt for "backpacker insurance", i think it has a maximum age so you need to check. Google travel insurance. "Annual travel insurance" only covers a max of 120 days usually so is no use

i know about insurance in israel but just like everything else its expensive, like a 100$ per month, looking for other cheaper ways

why does it matter where the company based ?

just to make sure, im looking for travel insurance ?
and this is only for me ? for my wife its better to go local in thailand ?
Ask your wife if she is covered. Yes I'm suggesting one option which is travel insurance, other one is personal accident insurance (in Thailand) or private medical insurance (in Thailand) such as Bupa which is circ 50-100k baht a year.

Others who use private medical insurance can give suggestions

if i choose a backpacker insurance , its ok right ?
That's the one i choose. Try it and see. It may at some point say you need to be UK resident i don't know.
