South bombing investigation reports to police chief

One year after the bombing incidents which occurred in seven southern provinces on Aug 12 last year, police have finished the investigation on nearly all of the cases, deputy police chief Pol Gen Srivara Ransibrahmanakul said on Friday (Aug 18).

 

He said the investigation reports, which have been completed, were to be submitted to Pol Gen Chakthip Chaijinda, the police chief, on Friday.

 

On Aug 12, 2016, there were altogether 10 bomb explosions in Phuket, Trang, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phangnga and Krabi provinces.  Four people were killed and 32 wounded in the explosions.

 

The police were able to defused two bombs in Phuket.

 

A fire each also broke out in Trang, Surat Thani, Phangnga, Nakhon Si Thammarat and Krabi.
