A man is trapped in a room.
In the room their is a table, chair, 2 doors, and a small hole in the ceiling 12 inches in diameter.
Behind one of the doors is an extremely hungry lion that hasn't eaten in a couple of days.
Behind the other door is a glass tunnel that magnifies the sun creating temperatures so high that even opening the door could kill you.

How does the man escape?

Assuming that the ceiling is also the roof, and he can see outside, he waits until night and goes out the tunnel.

Hmmm... close, but not quite.

Okay, he holds the chair to push back the tiger if he opens the wrong door first!

If possible to determine night/day via the hole then he can simply leave by the sun tunnel at night.

If not possible to determine night/day or which door is which then spend 24hrs determining which door is warmest to the touch then leave by that door when its cool(night time).

You're beginning to sound like Donald Trump! I hope that you don't have the nuclear launch codes!

If that's the correct answer then why was my post # 2 wrong?

My apologies... I seem to have missed it! Very sorry indeed.

He could also look very carefully at one of the chairs to make sure he saw it.

Use the saw to cut the table in half.

We know that two halves make a whole.

Climb through the hole and escape.
