Got my second "starter" school teacher non-b visa with this stamp: "The applicant is advised to apply for work permit. Which should be presented to the authorities next time".
Visa issued in Vientiane.
But I'm not gonna work in that school also.
And I have a school name on a visa, so can't apply for a WP from another school.
So what I have to do to get a tourist/another non-b visa?
There's no info in the Internet at all.
Thanks!

There is no reason why you can't apply for a WP for a job with another school based on your entry with this visa.

Even if the name of a current school is written on the visa? Really?

Yes.

Your new employer can easily get confirmation from the labour office they will be applying from the WP at.

So they didn't, and now they are telling me to get the new one.
Is there a lawyer who can help me with it? Pattaya or Bangkok.
And how much will it cost?
Thanks!

If I understand the OP correctly, it begs the question; Why are you scamming schools to get a visa? You WILL get noticed sooner or later.

Or some schools are scamming teachers with the fake promises.
And some specific persons like to judge people without knowing the facts.

A lawyer cannot make the Ministry of Labour accept a Non-B visa that was issued for a different company. You are not going to get anywhere challenging the Ministry in this way.

Besides, your 90 day permission to stay would expire a long time before the Administrative Court ruled against you.

You need to find a new sponsor company/school and start again. Preferably the same company/school thst will be helping you to apply for a work permit.

I was told here that there's no problem applying for a WP with my current visa.
So maybe some lady in my new school is just lazy to ask the labour office.
Pure Thai style — easier to answer "no" than make some moves.

Why don't you make some moves of your own and go ask the office that issues work permits yourself?

You might be pleasantly surprised at the answer. If not, back to Plan A.

Members here give you advice to the best of their ability, but ultimately it is just that: advice. If a government officer chooses a different course of action based on their own interpretation of the rules then that's often the way it is going to be.

My post was based on your OP - you said this is the 2nd time in a row that the exact same thing happened. You're either the unluckiest sob in the country or you're not coming completely clean.

Why does it have to be "some lady (Thai)" that is "lazy" and chose to let you blow in the wind out of a cruel heart?

You were told (and ubonjoe can back me) that there is no problem AT IMMIGRATION and the LABOR DEPT. in applying for a WP. NOBODY said the school and staff were/are 100% versed in the art of paperwork for foreigners. In fact, many schools have such a low amount of dealings with other government offices outside of Education that I'd wager nearly 50% can't figure it out.

Now, if you're picking low end schools with pipe dream benefits then either 1 of 2 things is possible: You're an uneducated git that is trying to scam so free time in Thailand or: You have the proper education but lack knowledge of working in Thailand.

Perhaps some background information will better equip us in helping you. :)

This is my second non-b, but the first one was provided by some company, not school.
I'll rely on your words, find proper lawyer and do paperwork by myself.
Will report the result here.

Thanks a lot!

You have a non-B... that's good, all you need is for the school to prepare the paperwork required by the local labor department to acquire your WP with which you sugar on down to the local immigration office with yet more paperwork to get your 1 year (or less) extension. I've never heard of a school name printed on a non-B visa.

Yes, but the school is telling him to go out for a new Non-B, due to his current Non-B having some data on it related to his prior, perspective employer.  If they won't hand him the paperwork, he is stuck.

I would take the paperwork his new perspective-employer gives him to to out to apply for the Non-B, and go to the labor office with it before making the trip, and see progress is possible that way.  If the Labor-office says, "You don't need to leave, do this..." and provides that in writing, he could take that back to the school, and perhaps get what he needs.

How?

Most of the documents you need can only be provided by the school. A solicitor will not have access to them. All the solicitor can do is ask your prosoective employer to provide them.

Good luck with that.
