Will be traveling through Ubon on Friday so could anyone recommend a popular restaurant there?

Spago for Original  Italian food and pizza, Peppers for great breakfast and German food, Outside Inn for Mexican plus a great hotel and in the evening if its a bar you like then perhaps Wrong Way or N-Joy are the places to go to.

N-Joy bar is a friendly place and has a very good menu, even Indian grub, can be a bit difficult to find first time.

SMILE is fantastic. The best Thai food in town. Peppers for just about everything. Spago for Italian including great wood-fired pizza. Do not leave without having the green lip mussels cooked with cream.

Yes, it's good.  and not just for somtam.    

 

Peppers Schnitzel with Potato Salad, and their Burger ..... ooh!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can never finish them

Thanks for all the tips. I was thinking of a Thai restaurant with lots of costumers and tables so maybe this is the place?

A Thai restaurant with lots of customers and tables. Try Saap Soi 9 at U Park. Big place. Dining inside (air con) or outside. A live band outside. Easy parking. Good service. 

 

For a quieter place try Baan Klang Soi.
