spacedout
My last 3 visa trips have been to Sevanaket in Loas, the first two I was granted a 3 month "O" visa but the last time I was issued with a 60 day tourist visa with no explanation given other than you can not have 3 consecutive "O" visa,s in Sevenaket. I am married to a Thai and have lived in Thailand 5 years now and previously qualified with the required bank balance. I am 51 years old. Unfortunately I do not have income or the required 400.000 in the bank so I would like information on the 1 year multipull entry visa, ie, is it possible to obtain this in Pengang and what is the waiting period between applying and receiving, or is Singapore or KL a better bet. ubonjoe
Had same problem in Sevanaket. I think they are trying to discourage farangs from going there. There are topics in this forum about KL and Penang giving multiple o's just look back a few days. Where are you from?
NHJ
why don't you get an extension of stay of a year using the spouse salary 40.000/month minimum? she doesn't need to get that salary, just pay tax on this salary for the three months prior your application for the extension of stay. Maestro
After entering Thailand with a tourist visa you can apply at an immigration office for a change to non-immigrant visa if you meet the requirements for the marriage extension. Apply for this change of visa with at least 21 days remaining of your permission to stay. If necessary, you can first extend the 60-day permission to stay you got when you entered by another 30 days, or you can make a visa-exempt border run and then apply for the visa change. Regarding the situation with an application for extension based on the Thai wife’s tax payments on a fictitious income, Torrenova posted an interesting cost calculation here: www.thaivisa.com/forum/index.php?s=&showtopic=212318&view=findpost&p=2231487 -- Maestro
