Dumping Bg. Were You Sure

Flummoxed

Recommended Posts

You all know I'm not a troll so I post this question with confidence.

How many of you dumped a Bar Girl because you were on high alert all the time?

From where I'm standing, you are as likely to be happy with a bar girl as you are with a straight girl... if love is involved.

... but did paranoia, standard assumptions and prejudice from others, always looking over your shoulder because you're expecting the worse lead you to call it off. Did you ever regret it because you wondered if you were wrong to do so and you may have thrown away something great, just because everyone 'knows' it will end in tears and just because you 'knew' she would screw you over eventually.

So, tell me, do you ever go to sleep at night thinking about the BG who's heart you broke just because you got scared?

Love is seldom involved. Fondness maybe, respect, sometimes but at the end of the day its all about money!

Its very unlikely they're ever heartbroken. There'll be another sucker along the very next day. All they will miss is the £££££££$$$$$$$$!

No generalities Professor- many of TV Members have successful marriages to former BG(s). It maybe all about money for some, but not all. :o

Some people reckon bg's are hard as nails, some of them are, perhaps the ones who have been around the block a few times but the girls who are just starting out are not as hard, therefore they do have their hearts broken by guys promising them this and that.

If a girl is let down a few times you can hardly blame her for becoming cynical and interested only in cash, can you?

Which is why I used 'seldom'

I am aware that there are successful marriages but I've yet to see any that carry on once the money has run dry!

Simple logic path here. Girl goes to work in bar. Why? To meet a rich bloke. Why? For a better lifestyle.

If love happens along the way then great, but its not the foundation of ANY BG relationship.

Take a look at the girl who has spent 2 days in Phuket kneeling beside the coffin of her Aussie hubby....I guess the money hasnt run dry yet....

Fukcin cynical bastards.......

Agree with that although I also notice that overtime the cynical edges become smoother and the initial interest in cash is "partly" replaced by genuine love and affection.

Theres nothing cynical in what I wrote. Only the way it is as I see it.

Bit sick to use someone caught up in a tragedy as an example don't you think gburns?

A lot of these girls do fall in love with the farangs and many go on to have good relationships....they way you see it is a pesonlised view, based on what I dont know.

But I get sick and tired of hearing people say that the BG's are in it for the money only....true a lot of the younger girls may be just that...but a lot of the older girls just want to find a guy thats going to treat them well and not fukc them around.

There is a lot of talk in these posts about generalisation and your post is just another of those generalisations.

Was it a bit sick to use that girl as an example.....there has to be a way to get it through some thick skulls here that there are no generalisations in life. If you want to stereotype, lets see what we can come up with for a guy that goes by the name of "Professor Fart"

BTW...when that girl spoke of her love for the deceased...it brought tears to my eyes. that was more than love...that was devotion.

I don't think its a generalisation at all. Its based on the torrent of blokes with horror stories one meets in every corner of the Kingdom and on forums like this. I'd say its more representative than not. I'd like you to state here that it is otherwise.

If you truly believe that a BG is a sound path to a happy relationship then good luck to you!

I don't doubt that some of the older women are up for a decent relationship but probably because their own greed and mistakes have seen them left on the shelf.

Nothing grey in my outlook Rav, only realism.

I'd like to see any guy who is flat broke, 50 and overweight, trying to pull a girl of 20 in London, Paris or New York. When I was 50 (not fat though) I married a stunning Greek girl of 20... And the reason? I was the casino manager, earning 10 times the national average wage and she was a dealer. If I'd have been the guy sweeping the street between her house and the casino... Not a dogs chance in HeII.  Let us get REAL here.

The reality is that once the money runs dry the ex-BG often goes back to work again. More often than not the husband cannot understand that hooking is just a job and that's usually the end of the marriage.

Jeezus are we in to the BG season again ???  :D  Like we havn't talked enoguh about it yet...

Maybe you should remember they are people like everybody else with feelings and emotions.  :o

You're right, we're just trying to reach a consensus on the price of those feelings and emotions :D

Reality check time. Prostitutes..we are talking about prostitutes. Hardcore girls that run rings around dumbass farangs that fell out of Don Muang with their brains in their trousers.

The sooner some of you guys try to understand the ingrained cultre that has been passed down to these hookers over many centuries, the sooner you might get a grasp of the reality that alludes your mentality.

ProfessorFart seems to be the only one around here saying how it is. Yet you jump on him like the misconceived guys that litter every bar in Pattaya.

To give an example of some Thai girl grieving for two days over the death of her husband, is a cheap shot. How about the girls that laugh there ass of when you board those planes back home. Or the same girls that laugh when drawing out your hard earned money, sent to them weekly/ monthly.

Sure a lot of these girls hold down serious relationships, and are maybe in love. But you need to be in Thailand with her to be 100% on this. Because no amount of money you send, will take the bar out of a bar girl.

Flummoxed,

I'm still very much with my TG and we're doing great -- but here's what I did very early in the game when I came to LOS -- I put considerable distance between myself and the farang types who, as you say, tend to constantly urge you to adopt a "high alert " stance.

I really wish I hadn't started this thread now. I expect it will be closed forthwith as it is not producing the answers I had hoped for. It's just turning into another hate thread amongst eachother.

Sorry mods, I won't take it as a snub if you close it.

So what's your point?

Most guys don't mind supporting the local economy. Ok maybe some of us are taken for a ride but so what. It's anyway a cheaper ride that back west and whole lot better.

What answers were you after then Flummoxed?

Well, I haven't dumped her yet but have been lying awake for months trying to decide what is best for me and for her. If she's the genuine article then it's not fair on her having a boyfriend that's carefully interrogating her all the time and never really trusts her. Also, it's not fair on her having to wait lengthy periods of time while I make my pile of cash in order to make my permanent move. She's a real looker and could easily find a good man and one who is better positioned to give her and her kids the life they deserve.

I just wanted to know if any of you had cut things off even without any evidence of foul play... and if you felt guilt/regrets about it.

In what way Meom?

Comment is directed at the guys who believe a relation with an ex-BG is purely based on money. If for argument sake that is the case than the cost of a relation with an ex BG will be cheaper than the cost of a similar relation with a western ex-hooker.

If you like asian women it's anyway a better ride.

If you agree and are happy to be taken for a ride, then what exactly are you basing any relationship on? Its not love thats a fact.
