  1. Why don't you just get a visa you silly ass?
  2. Was he using the pole between his legs?
  3. He would have been shot dead 100% by the cops in the US for such a display.
  4. Come on with the judgemental nonsense. She was only taking a pee not dropping an atom bomb. Many men, myself included have to pee while out and have to find a quiet corner somewhere to let it all hang out.
  5. To be honest I guess it would depend on how much it is. The mother of one of our staff got in hock to gray market money lenders....it was only 150,000 but she was about to lose her house. I lent the money to our maid to give to her mother, but of course I could take the repayment out of her wages. If it was 250,000 I probably wouldn't have lent it. It also depends on who owns the debt and what it is for. I know of a farang whose ex-wife ran up gambling debts, significant debts, and some nasty looking people turned up at his gate demanding he pay them the debt. He is a large fellow and he told them where to go, in an angry confrontation. The confrontation was repeated two or three times before the gang presumably decided to seek the money elsewhere. So if it is a small amount pay it and bask in the sheer and total lack of gratitude doing such a charitable act commands here in Thailand. If it is owed to a bank, they won't be send armed thugs after you, so simply say no, no, no. If it is owed to thugs who turn up at your house, spend the money on acquiring two large Bang Gao dogs and a firearm (the firearms are expensive bought through a dealer with the police certificate and all, but cheaper, but illegal, if bought directly off the police, and make sure to keep your gate locked at all times. Make sure the dogs come to the gate with you and are snarling during the negotiations.
  6. Go Big Joke......if you are guilty, then go on and stay on there lam for a few years. If not guilty come home and fight it out in court. Personally I would be pursuing a guarantee of 'no arrest' now we speak before retiring to Thailand.
  7. Truly great posting....it could save a lot of people grief if they read and observe it.
  8. Carlos was a fraudster......escaping from Japan in a suitcase.....for goodness' sake
  9. Yes, legalise today, and close them all down tomorrow. Nothing like thinking things through.
  10. Indeed, like with most systems of government there is an internal conflict, there is an internal conflict with democracy. If you look at actions needed for climate change, there is a lot of talk and not much action from the democracies of the world. Not much pain for the voters being offered in western democracies as platforms.
  11. I think the fine minds of the UNSC have spoken about this, considered it, debated it and come to the conclusion that the genocide has to stop. More fine minds like mine would say that Israel should remove itself from all stolen lands and go back into the only lands it (might be) legally entitled to, i.e. the lands shown in the maps used to delineate Arab and jewish areas in the original documents which started this wretched intractable problem. The land was in the UN documents was divided into an Arab half and Jewish half. Sadly the Jews wanted more than their fair share of land and have been on a land theft spree ever since. If the jews retreat to their land and stop the land theft for settlements etc I think the problem will ameliorate but never heal.
  12. A smear campaign against anything that exposes Jewish war crimes and atrocities.
  13. Allan Shatter indeed. I bet he had a nice time at boarding school with that name. When I lived there, there was no antisemitism that I saw, or heard or otherwise witnessed. Jews weren't a factor in anything. I think in the 50 and early 60s when the Church ran everything in Ireland, Jews might have had a hard time. The only place known for a jewish Community was Cork as far as I know.
  14. We use both together in Thailand. I find aircon air too dry and it aggravates my bronchial condition. The increase in rh (relative humidity) provided by the water evaporator helps me breathe airier and have a better night's sleep. I have no noticed any increase in the costs of electric since starting to use the portable evaporator a couple of months back. They are noisy, but I find the white noise they emit to be very soothing and helpful in sound sleeping.
  15. I own an apartment in Tokyo and spend a large amount to time there each year. Tokyo, living expenses are very low at the moment, food in supermarket, eating out, clothing, electronics, healthcare. The exchange rate is very low for the Japanese yen and was 150 yen to the USD just a few days ago. What is not inexpensive is apartment rental if you want to live there, nor are hotel rates cheap. Airfares are on a par with a few years back. So net, net, going for a vacation is expensive because of hotel costs and eating out expenses, while reasonable, are higher than here. If you have accommodation from a friends or relative there, now is a good time to visit and enjoy fabulous food and great shopping.
  16. I am wondering whether we have any lawyers here who would know if the US keep providing arms that are used to slaughter civilians after this resolution is passed by UNSC (and ignored by Israel) does that put the US in legal jeopardy for war crimes?
  17. He is despicable. I have him on ignore.
  18. Gimme a break! Haven't the cop[s got better things to do. Fire 75% of the force, and get the remaining 25% to do a decent job and pay them each 4x the salary.
  19. April Fool's Day has come early this year.
  20. There is so much corruption that if you don't have physical gold, you don't have any gold.
  21. Shocking. A usurer calling in the debt?????? Sounds like it was done by professionals.
  22. Thanks Ralf, I'll try it.
